The Melissa Fire Station is the spookiest place in town this month! The haunted house is on the second floor of the fire station. We opened October 17 (last night at the time of this typing), and have seven nights left of scaring, Oct 18, 23-25, 30-31, and Nov. 1. Tickets are $6 in advance (buy them from us! Call us and we'll get you some) or $20 per family. If you buy the tickets at the door they are $8 or $25 per family.
"Rescue Randy" has volunteered his time to the haunted house. We thank you, Rescue Randy. Come see him at his best!If you want to see an article about the haunted house in the McKinney Courier Gazette, click this link.
If you've made it all the way to the end of this post, you've qualified for a special spook deal! When purchasing advance tickets, mention password "Gustavo" and we'll take a dollar off the ticket price. It's a special deal exclusively for "The Good Life" blog readers. Don't say we never did anything for you.
So come to the haunted house, and spread the word to your friends! Come get scared for a great cause!
By the way, if you're too far away to come to the haunted house but would like to make a donation to our cause, you can contact me at brettgustaveson@yahoo.com, and I'll let you know how you or your business can make a tax deductible donation!

It's so great hearing from you! We will definitely be keeping in touch. Send me an email and I'll get you all caught up and I want to hear more about your life in Texas! That is sad that your parents sold their house, but good too I guess. How long was it on the market? It didn't seam very long. Oh I miss your mom, it's been so long since I've seen her! My email is rstephenson@sd251.org
And good luck with the fundraising, what a neat trip that will be, do you get to go?
Peru sounds fun! Wes and I are planning to go there sometime within the next 2 years. His brother just moved there to work at the Embassy and we figure what a great time to go! If you need any inside scoop from somebody who's there let me know and I'll pass along their e-mail address. Hope the fundraiser brings in lots of cash!
Good luck with your fundraiser!
Wow good for your mom and dad. My older sister just started teaching 7th grade math this year at Jenks. I didn't know your dad wasn't there anymore. Are they in Texas with you now??? Mark has been looking at Dallas for a few jobs. The company he works for now is HQ in Dallas - EAGL golf.
Hey Brett and Kasia, I tried to leave a comment a while ago but the curser kept moving down. I got frustrated and went to bed. I haven't been back since. I hope you guys are doing well, by the looks of your adorable family you are. Brett, I can't believe that you were drinking out of the same drink on the post below- I would have been blowing in instead of sucking!!
I'll visit back soon--kami
