Wilson's Birthday and More
Hello, Ace here! I'm going to talk about Wilson's birthday and more!
So this is something that we did during Wilson's Birthday.
We had a paint war. It was fun. We got dirty. It was a good day.
One morning, we had pancakes. Our Aunt sent us new pancake supplies and we got to try them out.
This is me with the pancakes.
We had fun eating the pancakes because they were
Star Wars characters and I like Star Wars.
I hope that you like this blog and I hope that I can see you again!
Bye!
( P.S. Maisy typed while i talked so don't think I did this by myself. )

A Snow Day in March...
Well, hello everybody Wilson taking over for today. The last day before our parents left to Spain, you'll never guess what happened...
Yep we had a snow day in MARCH! School was canceled and everything. So, of course we just HAD to take advantage of this rare moment. The only problem is Mom and Dad were to cold and to busy to come outside and take pictures, so the ones we have, we have to cherish.
Here we have Henry (left), Harriet (right), and Herbert (middle). Enjoying their time as a family, before they melt in to 3 neatly arranged puddles of water. It really is a shame.

Maisy and Ace, chillin' with the H's.
So that sums up our snow day, and all the snow was gone by 1:00. But, we are going to be sure to remember these pictures forever.

Beginnings of 2015
Beginnings of 2015
We've had a lot going on the 1st couple of months of 2015. We are adjusting to life with our dad as the Bishop. I must admit--it's not too bad! Although it's only been 3 months. I'll keep you posted. Wilson has totally stepped up these past couple of months. He's been such a huge help and an incredible leader in our family, at church, and at school. Here's an example of his freshened Christ-like attitude: A couple of weeks I was getting ready for a Beehive class presidency meeting at my house. Wilson was making breakfast burritos for the family. So he decided to make extras for my presidency to have during our meeting. They loved them of course! They really were quite delicious. And of course he had to instagram a picture of one.
In Maisy news--she just finished a production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown!" She was fantastic! It was a fun and energetic show with characters we all know and love. She played Linus which is a fun role because she developed a close friendship with "the blanket." Coincidentally, Wilson was also in a production of this same show about 4 years ago--same directors and everything. AND he just happened to play the role of Linus too. Maisy was thrilled to play the same character as her older brother. Check out this picture their directors put together for us. It's classic!
Ace has enjoyed his first season of playing basketball. He has learned a lot and his confidence has grown quite a bit. He has a really nice coach with a lot of patience and determination. In other words, it's not easy to coach a team of kindergartners/1st grade boys. There's a lot of running into each other (on purpose), tackling each other, falling down, etc. But one thing is true: they love their coach. Every time they huddle up, the boys just hug and put their arms around the coach. And they do a lot of team hugs. It's precious. I got a picture at the last game. I'm just grateful for a good sports experience--even if we've only made like 10 baskets the whole season (that's being generous!)
So we are doing pretty good. Our upcoming adventures: Spain and baseball season! Yay!

Christmas in Gustavoland
So it was my turn to write the blog. So I started this one the week before Christmas. It's a little dated now, but here it is anyway...
Well, here we are. The last blog post before the big day. Brett typing here, giving you an update on our Christmas preparations. We are not traveling anywhere this Christmas, and we are looking forward to a relaxing vacation with lots of traditions, old and new. I want to tell you about a few of our Christmas traditions.

We are not traveling anywhere this Christmas, and we are looking forward to a relaxing vacation with lots of traditions, old and new. I want to tell you about a few of our Christmas traditions.
First, a Senor G school tradition:
Every year I let my students decorate my classroom with Christmas lights. This year they really outdid themselves, to the point where we blew a circuit breaker at the school a couple of times!
I love being in my classroom and feeling the warm glow of the lights. The students and other teachers seem to like it, too.
And now, my favorite decorations:
I don't know why, but I love the Santa chimney (pictured) and the Santas from around the World (not pictured). I also think it is great to take a picture of our kids every year with our nutcracker/soldier guy. It is fun to see how they are growing.

The Elf on the Shelf (aka America)
A new tradition we are starting this year is the Elf on the Shelf. America (as named by Ace) heads back to the North Pole nightly, then reappears each morning in a different location in our house. The kids have a fun time finding her every morning.
The 12 Days of Christmas
Every year we choose a family or two and give them a little knock-and-run present each night from the 13th to the 24th. This is a tradition that my family had when I was a kid. It is a heart-pounding intense way to spread a little holiday joy and show other families that we care for them.
Christmas morning
We enjoy German pancakes on Christmas morning, and then open our gifts together, The kids are in for some good surprises this year that we know they will like.
Can't wait for Christmas! More to come soon...
