Once we get home from church, we try to relax on Sunday.
Wilson has decided his new ritual will be to change back into his Mario Pajamas the moment he gets home from church. "It's a MING TRADITION!" he exclaimed to me (which is true, but I'm wondering who told him that.)
Maisy's new ritual for Sunday afternoon is to make us all something "delicious" in her Easy Bake Oven. Last time she made brownies and trust me folks when I say--they are by faaaar the most edible thing she has made in her Easy Bake Oven.
And well, Ace just likes to hang around with us (in his onesie.) Ace and I are the true and faithful family members that still take a nap on Sunday. That's our ritual and it's wonderful! Sometimes Brett will take a short nap or sometimes we nap and relax while waiting for him to come home.
Hooray for Sundays (most of the time!)

Love those Sunday traditions! And he's right... it is the Ming way!! (As is wearing the black church socks with your pj's.)
:)
Jaron is asleep on the couch right now... black socks and all!
Oh yes...hooray for Sundays! I like that Ming family tradition...they know how to do things! I especially love the Mario jammies. Jake and Luke have matching sets.
I get such a kick out of that picture of Maisy. I love the oven and the "tools." That yellow thing looks pretty serious. Oh yes...and I love the stool she's standing on.
Ace is a cutie...love his smile!
The Mings and the Childs have it right. I'm telling you 9 a.m. church has its benefits...there is nothing like a 2 hr. nap on a lazy Sunday afternoon to get your week started on the right note.
We have also introduced popcorn and orange julius for dinner. That's right I obey the law of Moses when it comes to cooking on the Sabbath. ha!
Hooray for naps! I still remember that one Sunday you posted where Wilson had tied Maisy to a chair or something of that nature! haha And those brownies sound mighty tasty...Yum yum!
Sounds like a fantastic day of rest. If Eli saw Maisy's oven, she would die of jealousy. I keep trying to convince her she can make things in the REAL oven (using REAL food:)...she isn't believing it so an Easy Bake may be in our future.
I have to tell you that I added you to my blog roll. I love coming here and reading about your family--Nikki does too. Your children are the cutest. I love your family picture as you header.
Oh, no wonder we are kindred spirits . . . we have the same traditions in our house. A la my dad, we call pajamas our Glad Rags. Gotta get home and put on our Glad Rags. I would love to taste one of Maisy's creations. :)
Love all your rituals! We have 1pm church so we sometimes do Wilson's ritual too!! Maisy is so cute...my Lexi saw the picture and said "is that my snowwhite headband?" I think those two would get along! :)
Ha ha! Andrew is also a Ming at heart. He changes into his PJ's every sunday when we get home. He said it saves a step later because after all, "we never go anywhere on Sundays".

I would say the secondary Sunday Ming tradition would be wearing your church clothes all day and not coming home until 5 in the afternoon. That's my favorite.
Those Mario pajamas make me want to puke up ham. Nice job Wilson!
