I was surprised at first when he said he wanted to ride with Uncle Mark on the wakeboard. Then after watching his cousin Megan go, he became very apprehensive. I told him he could just get in the water with Uncle Mark and then decide if he really wanted to give it a go.
As he prepared to go, his face was very serious and focused--the same intense look we have seen so many times when Wilson has faced milestones.
Much to our astonishment, he went for it!Wilson said: "I was really scared at first and so I just kept my eyes closed. Then I finally opened my eyes and it wasn't too bad!"
After the thrill of his adventure, I think Wilson's confidence had boosted quite a bit. By the time we were returning home from the lake, when asked what he thought of his ride with Uncle Mark he said:"It was SUPER FUN!"
Wilson would like to thank Uncle Mark for the ride of his life. Good luck to you, Mark, in all your wakeboarding endeavors because you are totally awesome on the water!(side note: Check out that scenery! It's gorgeous at Lake Powell.)

What a fun post! We love the photography...Did Ray take the last picture of Mark or did you capture that with your very own camera? If so, go Kodak!
I'm also wondering...on the last post you said that Brett has "perfectly nostalgic memories of his times at Lake Powell." Were you being sarcastic? I know how Brett's memory works...
yay Wilson! Congrats! Next year you'll be doing it all by yourself ;)
Love the pics. You know, we were there just days after you. Too bad we missed you!
Oh Leah, you know us too well. I guess it would be more accurate to say that Wayne and Charlene have nostalgic memories and they told Brett that he does too. he he
Charlene took that last shot of Mark, but she used her Kodak camera. They have one that is similar to ours.
How are you feeling, girl? Miss you guys:-)
We're really proud of Wilson for being so brave. Especially since Megan got hurt a little on the ride just before he went. He was really cute with just his head above the board.
