The first recommended restaurant is our favorite Italian eatery, Sicily's. It is located on University Avenue (the 380) and Waddill in McKinney.
We love the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. The owner, Eddie, is omnipresent-- shaking hands, kissing babies, and hobnobbing with the clientele. The place has a very cozy, yet happily frenetic feel that you're not going to get at the Olive Garden. A great tradition at Sicily's (for wine drinkers) is that people bring in their own wine to drink with the food they order at the restaurant. The food is outstanding for adults and kids. Feast your eyes on this:
This is Maisy eating a roll (complimentary appetizer) that was nearly as big as her head.
Here we have Spaghetti with sausage, devoured shortly after this picture was taken by Kasia's brother Cameron.
Cameron's wife Kressyda ordered the Chicken Rossini highlighted with a pink sauce (red sauce with added cream) and chicken topped with ham, provolone cheese, and tomatoes on the side. Mmmm...
Kasia ate the Chicken Piccata. Its lemony, buttery taste left her palette happy.
Are there some picky young eaters in your dining group? Not even they can resist the tantalizing pre-cut cheese pizza.
We waved farewell to Eddie, as we left through the famous red door. The meal was inexpensive ($5-10 per plate) and exquisite. If you want some great incontestable Italian food, Sicily's is the place!!

Man! That looks so good! Unfortunately...not on the diet. "I can't eat that for the rest of my life." And I LOVE how Wil is holding onto Eliot's foot. So dang cute! Makes me really miss you guys.
love,

Oh yummy! My mouth was watering looking at those pictures and it's 9:30 at night! We're always looking for new places to try, I'm adding Sicily's to the list!
This is on my "to try" list, thanks!
Channa, I love how you noticed Wil holding Eliot's foot because Brett and I noticed that too and just loved that! The kids really are cute together. We really miss you too!
Your site always make me smile and sometimes snort (with laughing of course...not just random snorting). Looks like lots of fun at the restaurant! Love the water photos too in the previous entry. The kids all look so cute! Glad your son liked the dolphins facts. I was going to email you back about it and then realized I didn't have your email address!
What a fun idea...I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for future reviews. :) And your pictures of the food are fabulous! I'm totally drooling....although I guess that's nothing new. hehe
I really want one of those rolls! Everything looks so delicious!
